* The “Divorce Education And Research” Project , “D.E.A.R.”, is a Family Law focused division of Legal Assistance.  It's mission is to combine the provision of low cost divorces to the general public, but coupled with appropriate counseling and workshops, as might be dictated by a particular circumstances of each case.

It's target is to those who might be involved in troubled or struggling, but potentially salvageable, marital relationships.  The project is still in it's initial stages of development, but ultimately envisions a staff of professionals, trained not only in the legal field, but also in the fields of psychology and therapy. The overall objective of the project is, in fact, three fold:

-First, to help stem the overly  prevalent  incidents of  marital dissolution;

-Second, to help lessen the financial burden often associated with these type legal proceedings; and

-Third, to convert the characteristically painful process of marital dissolution into an experience of learning and growth.
